DAY 1 – BAJA, CALIFORNIA (INCL. DINNER)
Arrive to the peninsula of Baja, California, at the International Airport of San Jose del Cabo. Transfer to the city of La Paz via the East Cape. A band of mutineers first came across this place searching for an island of Amazons and pearls. Known as the “City of Illusion” La Paz can distort the sense of direction, giving the impression that the sun sets in the east. In La Paz, check in to your hotel for a welcome dinner and rest up for some Baja whale-watching in the days ahead.
DAY 2 – MAGDALENA BAY (INCL. ALL MEALS)
Early in the morning, depart for Magdalena Bay. The mangrove thickets and salt marshes of these shores create the ideal environment for birds and sea creatures to thrive. Check in to the hotel at Puerto San Carlos, and enjoy lunch at a local eatery before heading out to begin your adventure scouting for whales and birds in the more shallow lagoons.
DAY 3 – MAGDALENA BAY (INCL. ALL MEALS)
Board the boats for another morning in Magdalena Bay. Home to countless sardines and herring, this deep-water bay makes a perfect spot for Gray Whales to gather. Return to La Paz for a city tour with ample opportunity for shopping. Then check in to the hotel for a restful stay.
DAY 4 – BAHIA DE TODOS LOS SANTOS (INCL. ALL MEALS)
Today, travel to Bahia de Todos los Santos. An oasis of culture, this beautiful town is home to painters, sculptors and artisans galore. Century-old homes of adobe brick line the narrow city streets to charming effect. Check in to your hotel and spend the evening at your leisure, exploring the variety of shops and galleries before a final dinner to end your tour.
DAY 5 – RETURN FLIGHT (INCL. BREAKFAST)
Say farewell with breakfast at the hotel, then return to San Jose del Cabo for your flight home.
