    Tour Itinerary

    Day 1
Arrive in either Los Mochis or Culiacan and meet your Tour Manager. Then travel to El Fuerte.  Enjoy a walking tour of the city after checking in at El Fuerte Lodge. Dinner and overnight. (D)

    Day 2
Transfer to the train station for our journey to Bahuichivo on board the Chihuahua al Pacifico train and enjoy one of the most scenic rail journeys in the world.  Arrive to Bahuichivo and transfer to the San Isidro Lodge where you will spend the next two nights at a picturesque lodge surrounded by pine and oak forest.  Lunch upon arrival. During the afternoon, you will meet the Raramuris (Tarahumaras) who will participate in the “Korima Race” the following day and learn more about the trek. Dinner tonight with the Tarahumaras at the lodge. (B L D)

    Day 3
Breakfast at the lodge. This morning you will have the opportunity to run alongside the famous Tarahumaras runners in the Sierra Madre Mountains.  This relatively untouched locale served as the inspiration for the well-known book, “Born to Run”, and was host to the marathons in which “Caballo Blanco” participated.  Lunch at the lodge.  During the afternoon you will meet again with the Tarahumaras runners and their families to practice a Tarahumara tradition of KORIMA, the simple yet beautiful notion of sharing abundance with others, rather than living a life of excess. “What I have, you have.” We will share food and supplies. Dinner and overnight. (B L D)

    Day 4
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will be visiting the Cerro del Gallego to enjoy a wonderful vista of the majestic canyons.  Lunch at the San Isidro Lodge before returning to the train station for our journey back to El Fuerte.  Our farewell dinner at local restaurant and overnight at El Fuerte Lodge.
