This express version of our Legacy of the Maya tour is a condensed journey to give you a taste of what this ancient culture has to offer. This itinerary is designed to allow visitors to stay at the same resort for the duration of the tour. Each day, venture out to explore the magnificent cultural sites nearby including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Chichén Itzá. Venture into the archaeological site of Coba immersed in a lush jungle landscape and then travel to the seaside wonder of Tulum. Reminiscent of ancient times, nothing fills you with wonder and awe quite like gazing upon these architectural masterpieces in person.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Monday – Arrival in Cancún
Bienvenidos! Welcome to Mexico. You will be met today at the airport by one of our local hosts and transferred to your hotel for the evening. This afternoon enjoy a welcome drink and attend a briefing at the hotel conducted by your Tour Manager. (D)
Day 2 - Tuesday – Cancun to Coba and Tulum
Our journey of exploration begins as we depart for Coba, a site with a large Maya pyramid and famous for its many stone raised pathways. From here, continue to Tulum for lunch on your own. Take this opportunity to explore the renowned archaeological site of the same name tucked against the coastline. Early evening return to our hotel with time to relax before this evening’s dinner at the hotel. (B D)
Day 3 - Wednesday – Cancún to Chichén Itzá
Breakfast included at the hotel. This morning, we head to the famous Mayan-Toltec ruins of Chichén Itzá. You’ll also see the Sacred Well, Caracol Observatory, the Court of Columns and the impressive ball court. From here, continue to Hacienda Selva Maya for the opportunity to see one of the many Cenotes (sink holes). Maya believed cenotes to be gateways to the afterlife. Dinner included at the hotel this evening. (B L D)
Day 4 - Thursday – Cancún
Breakfast this morning at the hotel, followed by a day of leisure. Explore all the amenities this resort has to offer. Whether it’s a day at the spa or lounging by the beach, there’s something for everyone at this dream destination resort.

Day 5 - Friday – Depart
Say adiós to Mexico and your fellow travelers today. Check out after breakfast with all day transfers to Cancún Airport (CUU). (B)
